BLACK FRIDAY

ZARA (love it)
£79

River Island (suprizingly) - usually not a fan..
£89.99

Topshop (naturally)
£89

In life, I have a total love/hate relationship with 'black friday'. I love it of course, because it's the one day, of every month I'm at my happiest with my bank balance- my hard earned cash, all waiting for me when the clock strikes 12. I hate it because, well, I can never spend any of it on the clothes I've been eyeing up, as the ques to make purchase are always miles and miles long.. But then, maybe thats another reason to love it? Save all those lovely ben franklins up? Wouldn't you love that mother, dear.

Anyway, I was shopping for some winter boots, when I came across these little gems..
Thankfully enough for my loved ones, the ques for making any of these purchases were far too long, else they would have recieved a lovely letter on the 25th, from the charity of 'LaModeMachent' entaling that a donation had been made in their name...

"Let your mind start a journey through a strange new world. Leave all thoughts of the world you knew before. Let your soul take you where you long to be... Close your eyes and let your spirit start to soar, and you'll live as you've never lived before."

"and have yourself a LUXE little christmas" -was it?

Tuesday, by far- for some strange reason- seems to be one of my fave days, at the moment.
A lovely morning of garment construction; followed by a break; then some more garment construction; then some lunch; and then a little bit of drawing or whatever, before i quickly head off to work, on which the opportunity arises to grab one of my treasured magazines EVER. Tuesday, is 'Stylist' day!! By far the magazine I adore most. Because? Well, firstly I'm a fashion student.. and secondly IT'S 100% FREE!!

Anyhow, I was having a flick through on my way to work, when I noticed a little spread at the bottom of one of my pages, with a couple of advent calendars sprawled across it. I went to flip the page, then double taked. Luxe advent calenders? Ha! How absolutely outrageous.. LUXE ADVENT CALENDERS!?
At £68 though? For 24 days, worth of reasons to get up out of bed in the morning? The bitter, dark, frosty morning? Emmm.. SOLD.

Clearly the meaning of christmas is lost with me here. But when the countdown to christmas is this good, do we really need a visit from Pere Noel on the 25th?

S.O.S

Okay, So I need some help!!
Has anybody happened to have been either in topshop, OR on the website recently?
It's just that I was online, and on their main page (Topshop Online) was this beautiful picture, and I've absolutely fallen head over heels, IN LOVE, with this dress, only problem being, I cannot find it anywhere.. SO, if anybody could perhaps share a link, or comment and tell me where I could find this dress, or even one like it, I would be most greatful!!!

Thanks guys xxx

..and I thought I was a hippy.

I've always thought of myself as somewhat of a free spirit, well in the sense that, most of the time I do what I want, I dress how I want, I don't need anybody- although it's always good to have the company sometimes- I have no strings to hold me down, I'm doing what I'm doing out of choice; not force, I have my whole life ahead of me- I am free to be who I want to be. But, the other day on my way to class I realised my iPod was no longer in my bag, I had left it somewhere. My iPod, LOST. My techno mood enhancer, gone.

I'm not going to lie here when I say the shock on realising that it was no longer less that a stones throw away, was probably the same one I would experience, if I'd lost a limb- how very dramatic of me. Later on, I remembered that I had transferred a few of my fave tunes onto my blackberry, and so, even though I had lost one of my most prized possessions, if I maybe closed my eyes, it seemed like nothing had changed. Phew.

The next day, I had headed into to town to do a little last minute shopping for my mums birthday, but, on my way home, whilst listening to a bit of Donna Summer, my phone suddenly cut off, IT JUST STOPPED WORKING.? I looked at the screen, JVM error 102? WHAT? So I clicked reset, nothing happened, again, RESET. Annnnnd nothing.

So when I arrived at the house, I switched on my laptop-you know, to google the problem, as I do with everything else (Not even kidding by the way)- or at least tried, nothing happened, it would not switch on. Fully charged, but nothing. So, no music to calm my nerves, no blackberry to order another one, no laptop to solve what seemed like all of my problems.. and no contact with the rest of the world.

So, finally, here I am, sitting on my sisters bed, blogging from my mothers laptop.

If you need me, send a telegram.

Attic Rummage- Mother, i LOVE you.

Okay so me and my twin sister, Rachel, are ALWAYS on the lookout for really nice vintage items, although most of the time we fail when it comes to finding them.
So, it came as quite a bit of a shock yesterday night, on our trip to the ice cold attic- to get our Aaron knits in preparation for this terrible winter that's upon us- we came across an old clothes rail, packed full of old coats and jackets. Cannot actually begin to describe the feeling of sheer excitement, that came over me when we found all these precious pieces of outerwear, that had been neglected up in the cold, and out of sight for far too long.
It seems mother dear was quite the dresser back in the day.

Beautiful coats, you have another chance at glory.
